Welcome to Nourish Psychological Services

Candice Bowers is a registered Clinical Psychologist. She completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at Federation University and her Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at Australian Catholic University.

Candice has worked in private practice since graduating from her Masters in 2017. She has experience working across the lifespan, with children, adolescents and adults. She works from a non-pathologising approach with a focus on self-acceptance, compassion and growth. Whilst her training was primarily in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Schema Therapy, Candice now enjoys working from an eclectic approach, drawing on multiple different theories and techniques, as appropriate to each person she works with.

Candice believes in a whole body and mind approach to health and wellbeing. She feels nutrition, physical health, physical activity and sleep are all important in supporting people with mental health difficulties. She values her own daily meditation practice and is a qualified meditation teacher. If clients are open to it, she loves to incorporate meditation into her work with clients.

Candice has a passion for developing her understanding of neurodiverse clients and supporting them through assessment, diagnosis and therapy. She also has particular interest and experience working with clients who have experienced trauma and symptoms of psychosis.
